Social Events Programme


London is one of the most exciting cities in the world and you will never be bored if you come to us. We want you to have fun, make friends, speak English and enjoy all that England has to offer, so we organise an exciting and inclusive social programme.

A large variety of sports and activities which take place in school are completely free. For some excursions and activities, you will only need to pay the cost of your travel and for others, there may be a charge.

Sample Activities 

  • A drinks party every Monday afternoon to help you make new friends (Free)
  • International parties with different themes (Irish, Latin American, Asian, Middle Eastern, etc.) (Free)
  • Salsa classes (Free)
  • Zumba classes (Free)
  • Quiz and Games nights (Free)
  • Film screenings (Free)
  • Tea parties (Free)
  • Excursions to Camden, Notting Hill and other famous markets (Travel expenses only)
  • Tours of the Wimbledon pubs and bars (Free)
  • Excursions to London’s best museums such as Tate Modern, the British Museum and the National Gallery (Travel expenses only)
  • Theatre and Musical trips (£35 - £50)
  • Visits to London’s most popular attractions such as Madame Tussauds (£28)
  • Student nights at top London clubs such as Ministry of Sound and Cafe de Paris (£6)
  • Full-day excursions to other parts of the UK sights including Cambridge, Windsor and Oxford (£45 - £60)

Sports

Taking part in sports is a great way of getting together and making new friends and every week we organise group sports, such as:

  • Tennis (Free)
  • Volleyball (£5)
  • Squash (£5)
  • Badminton (£5)
  • Football (Free)
  • Table Tennis (Free)

We provide all sports equipment, you only need to bring the right shoes.

If you want to keep fit, we have special arrangements with the Nuffield Health Fitness Centre where you can use the pool, join classes such as aerobics and pilates and make full use of the gym. 

We can also arrange tennis lessons for you on your free afternoons, and there is an excellent golf course on Wimbledon Common.
