We are located in a beautiful Edwardian house which still has its original antique fireplaces and stunning stained glass windows. We have light, airy spaces for relaxation and we are one of the only English language schools in London with a garden.

The school has a wide range of excellent facilities, including:

  • 21 classrooms in the main building
  • 4 classrooms in the annexe (Mansel Road Centre)
  • Smart technology in all classrooms in the main building
  • Large, light, comfortable common room with widescreen TV

  • Fully-equipped multimedia self-access study centre with the Study Centre Manager there every afternoon to give free advice

The Mansel Road Centre 

Wimbledon School of English runs some classes in the Mansel Road Centre (MRC) as an annexe to our main building. The centre is situated just around the corner from the main school building (approximately 3 minutes walk) in a quiet, leafy street. The premises are spacious, light, airy and well-equipped. There are two classrooms on the ground floor (with French windows on to the patio) and two on the first floor. We run a snack bar there at break and lunch times, selling the same food as we sell in the main building.

Wimbledon High School 

In the busy summer months of July and August, classes may take place in Wimbledon High School. The school is also situated on Mansel Road and is a 4 minute walk from Wimbledon School of English. Students will be taught in large, modern classrooms and can use the snack bar at the Mansel Road Centre during break and lunch times. 

Study Centre

If you want to learn even more English or want a quiet space to do your homework, you can use our Study Centre in your free time. Our Study Centre Manager (who is also a teacher) is there from 13:30 -16:30 every day to help you with any language related questions and give you advice on how to study. There, you will also receive help on what what you need on the computers, how to make full use of our e-wimbledon and Macmillan e-learning systems and borrow films, CDs and books.

The Study Centre also hosts:

  • 16 computers 
  • CDs for grammar, vocabulary and exam practice
  • Past exam papers (IELTS , Cambridge, Pearson among others)
  • A listening library with CDs 
  • A reading library
  • A film library
  • A reference library
