Medical English

Our Medical English language courses are designed for medical professionals and university students who wish to improve their English language skills in a specific context.

We run a 2-week course in January and an intensive 1-3 week Medical English & OET course in January and July,

We also offer OET intensive and Live Online OET courses throughout the year. These courses are beneficial to those needing to take the OET exam in order to practise professionally in an English speaking country - particularly within the UK or Australia.

If you cannot commit to any of our full-time dates, you could try a combination of any of our standard courses (providing you are at the correct level) which give you 24 lessons per week, plus the Medical English afternoon options course which gives you 4 lessons each week of Medical English.

Medical English

For those working in a medical field, it is important to be highly accurate and clear in their communication but they also need to be able to show tact and sensitivity. During the course you will develop these English language skills in a variety of contexts. This will help you increase your confidence when communicating with patients and their families as well as with colleagues.

By the end of the course, you will have:

Studied the language of medicine in various contexts
Learned to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues
Increased your awareness of specialised terminology
Analysed real case scenarios
Learned how to deal with challenging situations
Visited one of London’s excellent hospital museums
Had tutorials with your teacher to discuss your progress and future plans

If you are a healthcare professional or university student and you want to improve your Medical English language skills, this is the course for you. This course follows our intensive timetable of 28 lessons per week/23 hours 20 minutes per week.
