Top 5 Christmas markets in London

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! The streets of London are decorated with Christmas lights and you can see beautiful Christmas trees in cosy living rooms behind the windows. If you are a Christmas fanatic and you want to visit a Christmas market in London, there’s plenty of choice. We have compiled the top 5 Christmas markets in London below, just for you!

Hyde Park Winter Wonderland

Ice skating, a circus, attractions, ice bars, ice sculpting and so much more. There are so many things to do at Winter Wonderland. Try the rollercoasters with (four!) loops or go for a nice ride on the ferris wheel. If you are not really into attractions, there is still a lot more to discover. Enjoy the lovely stalls full of Christmas decorations or try some of the delicious food available. Don’t forget to get some mulled wine to keep you warm and in the Christmas spirit.

Leicester Square Christmas Market

In the middle of Central London you can find the Leicester Square Christmas Market. If you prefer a traditional Christmas Market, this is definitely the place to go. The authentic wooden stalls offer the best seasonal treats and surprises. Buy some beautiful Christmas decorations or enjoy one of the many food and drinks stalls.

Southbank Centre Winter Market

The Southbank Centre Winter Market has everything to get you in the full Christmas spirit.  Have a joyful stroll between the Christmas stalls while looking out over the Thames. Not only does the Christmas Market offer you amazing gifts, food and drinks, there are also many activities to do! Take part in free workshops, performances and family activities. You can also see some magical Christmas shows such as Rumpelstiltskin and Circus 1903.

Winterville Clapham Junction

The little brother of Winter Wonderland is Winterville in Clapham Junction. If you want to stay a little closer to Wimbledon and prefer less people: this is the perfect attraction for you. There are still many similar activities to do: you can go on one of the spectacular rides, go ice skating or even see a Christmas show in the cinema. Plenty of things to do and of course a lot ot eat and drink as well.

Kingston Christmas Market

If you want to stay really close to Wimbledon, you can go to the Kingston Christmas Market! Just 20 minutes by train away is an incredible Christmas market with over 50 different stalls and a lot of festive fun. Buy yourself some charming goodies such as art, crafts, gifts and decorations. There are also two large outdoor bars where you can enjoy a mulled wine, German street food and a lot of entertainment!

And if you can’t decide where to go: just visit all of them. There is no such thing as too much Christmas. Enjoy!
