Live With A Host Family And Study English At WSE

Homestay Accommodation at Wimbledon School of English

Homestay has always been a popular choice here at Wimbledon School of English.  We have some 300 genuinely caring families that enjoy speaking with and learning about the different countries and cultures of their students. Some host just one student, others host up to four. The host families themselves are often from mixed backgrounds and may have experienced something similar when they were younger. Some have children, some have pets, some are retired or live alone.

I personally host and thoroughly enjoy welcoming a new student into our family life. Most of us hosts like to experiment with cooking and enjoy seeing our food appreciated. We enjoy watching the students grow in confidence and improve their conversational skills.

We understand that many students may be on a budget and so we offer a variety of accommodation options to suit this.

You can for example, rent a room in a home or school residence and shop carefully saving money on food.

You can stay in a standard home stay and have a nice clean room with a lovely evening meal provided for you in the evening. This by far is the most popular option allowing you to study, to go out sightseeing and still come back to relax, or do homework and to enjoy a home cooked meal and speak with your new family.  They will also clean your room each week and do your laundry.

You might like to stay with a family but feel you would prefer your own bathroom.  This option is standard plus. You will pay a little extra for this but for some students it is well worth it. We have acknowledged this importance by making it more affordable and therefore we have reduced our prices for this option for 2017.

Finally you can stay in a home stay with your own bathroom that guarantees you to be easy walking distance of the school. This is the superior home stay and again we have reduced the prices for 2017.

Whichever option you choose you have the full support of the Accommodation team who will be there to help explain things to you, help you understand that perhaps things are a little different to what you are used to.
