Excursions and cultural visits


We organise 2 full-day excursions per week (except in your departure week when you will have one excursion).  We take students off-campus to visit different cities and cultural destinations. On Wednesdays and Saturdays, we organise full-day excursions (09:00 - 17:30). The Wednesday excursion is a language experience day with a strong educational focus. Students research the location prior to the visit and write a report on what they have learnt.  

On Sundays, there is an optional excursion (11:00 - 17:00) to local towns and attractions including shopping trips or bowling.  There is a small charge for the Sunday excursion of £35 - £40 per student, depending on whether you choose to book in advance or pay upon arrival. To see these fees, click here. You can also choose to stay on campus instead and participate in whole school activities such as a treasure hunt or swimming.

  • Oxford
  • Stonehenge and Bath
  • Winchester
  • Windsor Castle
  • Thorpe Park                 

 Optional excursion destinations include:

  • Bowling 
  • Shopping trips to Basingstoke
